Zirconite ZC Boosta v2 is a completely new and unique formulation as compared to the original! Version 2 contains organic polysilazane resin, but that is the only raw material in formulation that is shared with v1. In this improved formulation the polysilazane is blended with a newly developed reactive silicon resin polymer and amino-functional PDMS silicone which contains high amine content, to improve the coatings adhesion to the surface and durability.
While all that chemistry is nice to know, how does it transfer to results? This means Zirconite ZC Boosta v2 forms a much stronger flexible coating that doubles durability to 2+ years. The new raw materials make application extremely easy and offers improved hydrophobicity with its higher, 110 degrees, water contact angle! It offers greater chemical resistance from pH1 Acid to pH13 Alkaline. Plus, it now has a pleasant fruity odor!
Use Boosta v2 as a stand-alone coating on paintwork, glass, plastics, chrome and aluminum surfaces. Boosta v2 chemically fuses to these substrates and offers 2+ years of protection against weathering, as well as against chemical, mechanical and UV degradation. You can stack Boosta v2 on top of Zirconite ZQ9h Quartz Coating for increased durability, longevity and hydrophobic properties.
Boosta v2 can be applied to matte and satin paint finishes. Boosta will not affect the gloss level of matte or satin finishes, but will slightly darken the color.
How to Prep your car for Zirconite ZC Boosta v2 application:
- Thoroughly wash, decontaminate and polish surfaces to your desired level.
- Perform a final cleansing wipe with Zirconite Panel-Prep to remove any remaining polishing, grease or wax residues. Even if you do not polish, this step is required!
How to apply Zirconite ZC Boosta v2:
- Vehicle must be indoors, out of direct sunlight and in a dust free environment.
- Wrap the suede cloth around the applicator block and a discharge line of Boosta v2 along the face of the applicator.
- Apply the product to a 2' x 2' section in a cross-hatch pattern.
- After thorough application, allow the product to flash for up to 3-5 minutes. The time will be dependent on your environment.
- Ideally, your ambient temperature will be between 59ºF and 77ºF. Your flash time will vary depending on the temperature. We do not recommend applying Boosta v2 in temperatures below 59ºF. The cooler your temperature the longer your flash time will be. As it gets warmer your flash time will shorten.
- Using a lint-free microfiber towel, buff away Boosta v2 working from the outside of the application area inwards.
- Flip to an unused side of your microfiber towel and continue to buff as necessary.
If desired, a second layer of ZC Boosta v2 can be applied 4 hours after the initial application.
If you are applying Boosta v2 on top of ZQ9h, wait 2 hours after the final application of ZQ9h to apply. You do not need to perform any other prep work if topping ZQ9h with Boosta v2.
Post application instructions:
- Coated surfaces must be kept dry for 3 hours after application.
- Vehicle must not be driven for at least 12 hours after application to ensure the initial curing phase is complete.
- Do not wash vehicle for 7 days after coating application.
- Use Zirconite Bead-Magik after the initial 12 hour curing phase is complete. This will allow Boosta v2 to continue curing and prevent water spots from forming in the coating prior to it fully curing.
